June Stamp of the Month: It’s Your Day to Sparkle

I have found the one celebration I seem to have the least amount of sayings and stamps for are Anniversary and Wedding.  When I saw the June Stamp of the Month, I realized this will have me covered!  Not only for these happy occasions, but birthday too!  I love how the #’s are included along with the “st, th, nd, rd” to draw more attention to a milestone.  I think you’ll agree, this set is a keeper and will be lovingly used on cards as well as layouts.  Say YES to CELEBRATIONS of the HEART with “It’s Your Day to Sparkle!”  Very appropriate name!

On these cards below, I used True Love papers and complements.  Another new embossing folder helped add the right amount of pizzazz to these beauties!  I used Z4056 Flower Garden Embossing folder found on this LINK.

Using the same True Love papers, I wanted to show the versatility of the stamp set.  I love adding ‘sparkle’ with our shimmer brushes (I used sugarplum, gold and mint on the right card) by splattering it across the plain card and then adding the pennants and a few layers.  Under ‘sparkle’ is a texture stamp, from our new stamp set D1852, Timeless Texture.  I used Sapphire & Sage inks on 60 card; Sugarplum & Eggplant on sparkle card.

Nick & Daria celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on May 24th!  I can’t believe it’s 5 years already!  Well, I used the cake and completely covered it with the clear shimmer brush.  It looks stunning in person (photo doesn’t do it justice).  I stamped the banner and ‘happy’ and placed that on the front.  Inside, I stamped 5th anniversary.  I enjoyed highlighting the # of years in the card.  It just goes to show you to play around and enjoy the lovely ideas you can create with the one stamp set.  (Note: I used Black Intense ink because I wanted to watercolor the roses, leaves and platter in sugarplum and sage.  Our waterbrushes are perfect to complete this technique.)
