Close To My Heart Convention Celebration
Yesterday was the end of a three day Virtual Convention (first of its kind) for all the Makers in Close to my Heart. Even though we couldn’t meet in person, it was still jazzed, jammed and jumping with excitement! Oh la la … the stuff coming our way … will be worth the wait! Sorry, no sneak peeks yet! But when I can … I WILL!
I was honored with these awards for 2020 which I just received a few days before Convention. Our Coastal Stars team placed #1 in Team Sales for a size of 25-100. CONGRATULATIONS on this achievement!! Way to go team!! Looking forward to your success in 2021!
I just love how Monica Wihongi, President of Close To My Heart was showered in confetti on my behalf! Thank you so much for ‘taking one for the team’ so to speak … or in my case … for me! Ha ha! You are such a good sport! I was thrilled to be receiving this award, as it never gets old for me. I have been showered and blessed with consistency every year since 2005/2006 Convention Year … in earning top honors with this amazing company, led by Founder and CEO, Jeanette Lynton. Jeanette … thank you so much for your vision and commitment to bringing Close to My Heart into the hands of thousands of women (and some men) through the years. We LOVE you!
I thought I would share my story with you who have been with me through the years (or are new to me), or who I would see in person at the many cropping retreats I attended. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for continuing to support me for 25+ years! The ride has been amazing!
In March 2019, I changed my SU! business plan and left behind vending at scrapbooking events. I would pack up my store and travel around the tri-state area and New England to set up, teach classes and sell Close To My Heart products. I did this for about 15 years. Well, I had enough of traveling and I was ready to slow down and enjoy a slower pace with my crafting business. But apparently, that was not in the cards! COVID19 changed my world in ways I never would have thought possible.
In no way did I slow down. But my business hit a new plateau when time was on everyone’s hands.- Who knew I would more than double my sales?
- Who knew I would be pumping out more artwork than ever before?
- Who knew I would grow into a Virtual Crop Queen Online, hosting virtual events every month for hundreds of women over the US?
- Who knew customers from years ago would jump back in and reconnect with me?
It has been a ride for sure! Close to My Heart has given me the products and tools to share my passion and creativity. My customers have honored me with their commitment to my Clubs and Crops. But more importantly, our relationship has blossomed into valued friendships where we laugh and chat each month on our Zoom meet ups.
When life gives you lemons, we have squeezed the pulp into a sweet, juicy, fresh batch of lemonade!!! How refreshing when you drink it! I am incredibly honored to be #1 in Personal Sales in 2020! And … 2021 is off to a great start! Thank you all for your loyalty and friendship through it all! It has been worth all the paper cuts and inky fingers! Ha ha!
