It’s a Winter WONDERLAND!

I love when you take the time to create beautiful pages and then have the photos to ADD later on … and it works like a charm!  I thought I would share some of my own personal photos for WONDERLAND Kit of the Month. ICE FISHING

Here’s the original layout which had a sled, snowball sticker and felt more like a good snowball fight kind of thing.  When I looked at my winter photos, I saw an opportunity with this layout!  My boys go with their Dad to Ice Fish each winter on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.  It’s usually Scott and Rick, or Nick and Rick … rarely all three together.  But I had the photos of their winter catch and found this layout worked!

I did make a few modifications by adding “Just the Guys” and a few penguins.  I love the saying “tis the season to be freezin!’  … You got that right!  But the Catch … always is good! The color combination for this is:  Desert Rose (bases), Charcoal, Mulberry & Glacier, and a little Mulberry Glitter.

SNOW SHOEING

Rick and I had a FIRST time activity — Snowshoeing!  A few weeks ago, we had a nice 6″ of white powder which gave us the chance to strap on our new gear and go for a winter walk.  We have this great place just for our residents, Fox Point.  It has trails, fields, boat ramp and is on the Great Bay … lovely any time of the year.  I was able to use these photos on this winter layout with lots of punchout snowflakes (get the scrapbook kit for this easy peasy idea), plus we splattered the pages with shimmer brushes & white gloss spray …

The colors are Rosemary, Glacier, Wisteria, a touch of Charcoal and White Daisy.

We are just in the start of our Winter Season and I can see so many other activities on these pages:  ice skating or hockey; sledding or tubing; skiing or snowboarding.  I’m sure you can think of others!
