Inks, Reinkers, Cardstock, Shimmer Brushes

are RETIRING to make way for 7 new colors!

When it comes to INKS, I just love our Close to my Heart color palette.  Every year, we say goodbye to a few colors to make room for exciting new colors.  If you are like me and enjoy a RAINBOW in inks for all your crafty projects, this is a good time to purchase what you like before they are gone.  If you can grab the reinker, you’ll have plenty of use out of your stamp pad (years worth!).  Collecting some of the cardstock colors is always nice to make sure it all coordinates too!  Lastly, many of the shimmer brushes are going (oh no!!!) … and this is really something I love!  I am going to share some examples of some new artwork (below) where all I am using is shimmer brushes to color them all in!

When it comes to shimmer, I just LOVE adding it to my scrapbook pages, cards, and stamped images.  I can use it to line an edge, color in a flower, add a shadow to a letter, add a little shimmer to any project or iconic image I’m using.  It blends well and you can create a very cool ombre effect too!  You can use it with any inks but black intense works best.  You can apply it to our cardstock or watercolor paper; we’ve used it on stickers too!  It can have limitless possibilities and it BLENDS well with WATERCOLOR Pencils and adds a nice shimmery, soft look!

Here’s a project I am currently working on with Memory Lane:

Isn’t it pretty?!  Using the E1076 Blooming Alphabet set and the Memory Lane stamp set (flowers), I used shimmer brushes to color in all the details.  My color choices on the letters are Shortbread, Melon and Peach (all retiring), Seabrook & Sage.  On the flowers, I used Ballerina, Shortbread, Melon, Seabrook & Sage.

You can easily change the title with stamps and play with your letters too.  I used Ballerina Shimmer to shade the letters.  Other colors are the same posted above.  I love how you can change your title to “Our … Place, Family, Ride, City, Home, Town, Neighborhood, School, Garden, Pets,* etc.

It’s time to look at your stash and see what colors you need to have before they sell out.  So many of my dear customers love the shimmer brushes.  I think you will too!  Time to snap them up because they add so much goodness to any of your crafty projects!
