A little Inspiration with photos of Ireland
I’ve been on a mission to complete my album from our trip to Ireland in 2016. I hope to share a little inspiration along the way but thought this might help you see the potential of some items still available.
USING 5 x 7 PHOTOS
Here’s a really simple layout using all 5 x 7 photos, plus I have two more in a 5×7 flip flap which are just as beautiful (not shown). Don’t be afraid to print some of your landscape photos in the larger 5 x 7 size. I just couldn’t pick a favorite, so I will have 6 in all. These pages are very simple and that is a good thing at times! The photos are the star of the show but the greens in the papers worked really well.
The beautiful papers are from Change of Season, which I can’t believe are still available on my website here. I stamped my title in an alphabet set in charcoal ink, added some pretty circle scrollwork stamps to complete the look. Then I decided to add my journaling under it.
I found a good way to use The Good Life workshop with my Ireland photos. This was an excursion about life as an emigrant from Ireland to America during 18th & 19th centuries. It is an outdoor museum @ the Ulster American Fork Park. Pretty interesting place with lots of history.
Anyway, The Good Life kit papers worked great! Plus I love my stamps + thin cuts from Backyard Bliss (wheel+barrels). I had a lot of photos but chose to pick a few and I realized many were portrait which was great for the 3 x 4’s on the right side.
I hope you enjoy the design and rich color palette. Great for masculine pages too! Eventually, when I have completed my album, I will share a video of my album. If you have never been to Ireland, you must go! It’s a beautiful, lush isle that covers the many shades of Green!
