Bashing my Scrapbooking Stash for Autumn
It’s a fabulous day for some scrap-tastic fun!
Over the rainy weekend, I found it the perfect opportunity to tackle my Fall Seasonal Stash. I’ve collected scraps from several Autumn kits over the years, and I have a treasure trove of delightful materials to work with.
I began working on the basic layout last year, and it has been patiently awaiting photos and inspiration since then. The color palette for these pages includes: French Vanilla, Paprika, Nectarine, Shortbread, Toffee, Sapphire, and Harbour. Plus, there’s a touch of metallic copper for added flair!
I combined several kits, gathered some extra die-cut and stamped leaves, and added a few stickers too. I even discovered a shaker component tucked away in my stash of treasures. It’s filled with silver and copper sequins and bitty beads. I know some of you still have this stash!!
My TITLE was cut on Paprika cardstock which I backed with adhesive first for easy sticking. But before I stuck it to the paper, I wanted to emboss the letters for a little extra dimension. Sure, I know it’s not perfect, but I didn’t want it to be. I wanted it to look handcrafted. If you’ll note, I also added Paprika shimmer brush splatters in the background.
It can be fun and satisfying to peruse your leftovers in search of the perfect sticker and a few more leaves or embellishments. Oh, yeah! I love my wavy Paprika border made with die cuts that have the stitching. Stitching lines are one of my FAVE elements on die cut images!
I absolutely
these photos below. They are filled with so many autumn colors! Don’t you
a covered bridge … plus the Mill? I do have a 6×12 pocket page that fits between these pages with breathtaking views from the mountaintop. Unfortunately, a snapshot of the clear sleeve with photos captures glare when you try to photograph it.
THE HIKE: We ventured up Middle Sugarloaf Mountain, situated in the charming town of Bethlehem. With an elevation of 2,538 feet, it offers breathtaking views in every direction. This autumn hike was in 2022, which showcased the most vibrant colors. It was truly a fantastic year for leaf peeping! We were treated to a stunning display of oranges, yellows, browns, and reds. The sky was a brilliant blue, and we concluded our perfect day in Littleton, NH. If you haven’t been there yet, it’s a must-visit! The town is absolutely charming, and you should stop in for a brew or bite at Schillings Brewery. It’s a great casual place and you’ll see the covered bridge and the Mill.
Here’s to kicking back, and enjoying the little moments in life. Have a wonderful Autumn Season!
