Kit of the Month: NO WORRIES

No Worries … Be HAPPY!  That’s right!  Time to get super excited about this beautiful beach or tropical vacation themed kit!  I had so much fun creating the first two pages!  I even added an additional half a page, using our 6×12 flip flaps (on page 2).

Personally, I enjoyed using the ‘palm tree’ pattern as a whole piece, rather than cutting it up for the layout.  The stickers are so pretty, so you may want a 2nd pack of complements and papers.

Who doesn’t like to get away and UNPLUG?!  The colors are a warm caramel/kraft brown which soothes the deep sapphire blue.  I added the pretty brown sequins which are included in the Workshop Your Way (or sold separately). The starfish, star & palm tree are in the complements.

Do you love walking along the boardwalk (even Disney has a hotel themed one)?  I do!  Hearing the waves and water crushing against the shore. Smelling the wood that has been baking in the sun as you walk down it’s path (watching where you walk to avoid gum, cotton candy and some other unique items stuck to the boards).  This paper is so adorable!

There’s nothing I enjoy more than distressing my pages and paper!  Everything shown here (home away from home) has been either torn, sponged or pulled apart (the ribbon into strings).  A tuck here, a pop up there … add bits and pieces, a sequin or two … and here you go!  A uniquely designed embellishment adding depth to your page.  I hope you like it!

I wanted to think a little bit outside the box and use it for 4th of July photos.  You can add red if you want too (or not use the 4th of July) and it would be good for the beach too.  But the stamp is only $6.95 and a great addition to your stamp collection.  I stamped 4th of July twice … on the circle in cashmere ink.  Next on scrap in sapphire blue.  I cut out the “4” and “July banner” and popped it up on the page. When you do this extra step, it really stands out. I  did use Flower Market to make the circle stars as well as the banner on Bonus pg. 8.

Look at the pretty papers and complements:
