S2206 I Heart Summer Stamp of the Month for June

What a great stamp set!  This Stamp of the month is a wonderful set for scrapbooking and cardmaking.   This is the layout designed by SU!.  You can see the cardstock stamped with rows of a border within the set. The papers are from the x9040 Mixins pack, which is so pretty.  

One of the things I have no problem doing to my stamps is cutting them apart when I feel it works for me. This set contains 7 rows of border stamps, and a few of them are great words to use on their own.  So, I cut the first row apart (Pool Party, Summer Vibes, etc.) and stamped them individually.  I also stamped a row of the drinks, colored with watercolor pencils and fussy cut one out.

I stamped the another row or two of images on white daisy in black intense ink and colored them in with watercolor pencils.  I fussy cut the ball and camera, stamped Fun in the Sun in espresso ink.

I didn’t individually cut the row with “Just Add Water.”  Instead I wrapped it around a block and stamped it on scrap and dovetailed the pattern paper.  I thought this would make a fun title:

On the 12 x 12 layouts, I stamped the seashells as a border across the top and bottom of the 12 x 12’s.  You’ll see what I mean if you go and check out the artwork for BEACH – Extended Story workshop I’m offering as an Online Class (click here).  If you watch the video, I point out where I used the stamps from this set.
