Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning my Craft Room

In Featured, Other Goodies! by Lynn Como

Out with the old and in with the new!  Well, that really wasn’t what I had in mind when I stepped into my craft room and wanted to organize my table space so I could start on a new project.  Somehow, I started with my glitter stash and decided to organize those papers inside my cardstock stash, so I would have ONE color together. That took two hours and before I knew it, I had a bucket, washcloth and stepping stool in hand to wipe everything down as I started @ one end of my room and worked through to the last corner.  It was just what I needed to take my mind off the changes coming my way.  The end of Close to my Heart was near and the beginning of Stampin’ Up! was not far ahead.  Perfect time to unload some history and start anew.

Once I started cleaning, I organized my desk and file cabinet drawers, then onto my bookcases.  I purged and sorted through lots of old papers, files and stash I was never going to use.  As I worked through this process, I found new ways to organize my shelving and craft supplies.  It was cathartic and cleansing as this daunting task helped lift my spirits at a time I needed it.  Once I was done, I really felt a shift in my mental attitude and knew everything was going to be alright.  I just needed something like this to be physically moving and grooving to music while focusing on the TASK at hand and not the changes ahead.

Here’s to SPRING cleaning!  My Craft room feels great!
